At OnePe (accessible from https://onepe.in), we prioritize the privacy of our Merchants and their Customers. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by OnePe and how we use it.
A. Information We Collect
- For Merchants: When you register for a subscription, we collect business details including Business Name, GST Number, FSSAI License, Bank Account details (for settlements), and contact information.
- For Customers: When scanning a QR code to order, we may collect your mobile number (for order updates/receipts) and your transaction history at the specific restaurant.
- Payment Data: We do not store your credit card or net banking credentials. All payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways.
B. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain our QR ordering and POS platform.
- To process subscription payments and settle transaction funds to Merchants.
- To send automated order confirmations via SMS/WhatsApp.
- To analyze how users interact with the menu to help Merchants improve their service.
- To comply with Indian legal and tax obligations.
C. Data Security
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. We use encrypted (SSL) connections for all data transfers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
D. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your data. We only share information with:
- Payment Processors: To facilitate your transactions.
- Cloud Providers: For hosting our database (e.g., AWS/Google Cloud).
- Legal Authorities: When required by the laws of India.
E. Your Rights
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000, you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data. For such requests, please email us at mail@onepe.in.
2. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Thank you for choosing OnePe. We aim to ensure a seamless experience for both our Merchant partners and their Customers.
A. Subscription Cancellations (Merchants)
OnePe offers Monthly and Annual subscription plans for the POS and QR ordering system.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard.
- Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel an Annual plan mid-year, you will continue to have access to the platform until the end of the current billing cycle, but no prorated refund will be issued for the remaining months.
- Downgrades: If you downgrade a plan, the change will take effect from the next billing cycle.
B. Order Cancellations & Refunds (Customers)
OnePe is a technology platform; the actual contract for food and beverage is between the Customer and the Merchant (Restaurant).
- Cancellations: Once an order is placed via the QR code and accepted by the Restaurant’s kitchen, it cannot be cancelled or refunded through the app.
- Refund Claims: Any disputes regarding food quality, quantity, or wrong items must be handled directly with the Restaurant management on-site.
- Technical Payment Failures: If an amount is debited from your account but the order is not confirmed due to a technical error, the amount will be automatically refunded to your original payment source within 5-7 business days as per standard banking procedures.
C. Chargebacks
Unauthorized chargebacks or fraudulent claims will result in immediate account suspension for the Merchant. We encourage all parties to resolve disputes through our support channel first.
